Lucas Vazquez: "Gutted, but never down"

Lucas Vazquez suffered a major setback during 'El Clasico'. He had to go off injured after colliding with Sergio Busquets and he picked up a knee injury. Everything seemed to indicate it was just a simple blow, but Real Madrid's medical staff confirmed that he has sprained his cruciate ligament.
That will leave him out of action until at least the back end of the season. The footballer announced this in a post on his official Instagram account. He transmitted calm and desire to return as soon as possible.
"I’m going to have to help the team from the sidelines for a while. Gutted, but never down. If there’s one thing this club has taught me it’s to always fight. From this moment I’m giving all I can to be back as soon as possible and help this team in the final stages. Thanks to everyone for your messages and support," he wrote.
"One objective - keep fighting for La Liga and the UEFA Champions League!" he concluded. His absence is a big problem for Real Madrid because he has been a very important player all season. It's likely Odriozola will cover for him while he's out, like in 'El Clasico'.
