The 20-year-old is a bright prospect for England, and has featured for the nation's U21 side many times, however it was decided that he would not get enough game-time at parent club Everton in the second half of the season, so he was allowed to move to Germany on loan to hone his trade.
The move has gone well for the young forward, and in his 11 appearances for Leipzig in the Bundesliga he has managed five goals. It is understood that Leipzig are interested in securing the winger on a permanent deal.
Lookman grabbed one of his five goals on Saturday, in his last game of the season in a Leipzig shirt. The German side thrashed Hertha Berlin 6-2, with the Englishman also providing two assists, however they did not manage to secure a top four spot.
Leipzig finished the season in sixth, behind Bayer Leverkeusen, who amassed two points more, but were pipped to fourth by Borussia Dortmund.
