According to 'The Sun', the powerful midfielder is keen to determine whether he has a future at Stamford Bridge or not and will push for another loan move should there be no space in the squad for him this season.
Lofts-Cheek impressed out on loan at Crystal Palace last season, with his form across his 25 appearances for the 'Eagles' sufficient to secure him a place in England's World Cup side.
Palace came back in for the player this summer but saw their advances knocked back, however, the arrivals of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic appear to have pushed the 22-year-old further down the pecking order at the club, with N'Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley all also on the books.
Loftus-Cheek was not included in the squad for the win over Arsenal, leading to speculation that he could be set for a temporary move.
However, with the Premier League and Serie A transfer windows now shut, any move would have to be to Spain, Germany or France.
