The race to secure the services of Jadon Sancho in the Summer of 2021 has already begun. Despite the fact that the transfer market has closed clubs are already getting to work on signing the Englishman.
'The Independent' claim that at least two teams are ahead of Manchester United in the race, who failed to sign the England international despite their repeated offers over the summer.
The English paper claims that Liverpool and Bayern Munich have emerged as favourites to sign Sancho, with both clubs relying on improving economies in the coming months.
In the meantime, Sancho will spend another year at Borussia Dortmund after Manchester United ruled out signing him in the final days of the transfer window.
'The Guardian' explained that Manchester United withdrew their offer upon realising that the cost of the signing would eventually rise to 250 million euros once it included the 120 million that Dortmund were demanding alongside Sancho's wage and the commission of his agent, Emeka Obasi.
The Red Devils did finally bring in two players on deadline day with Alex Telles coming in to reinforce the defence and Edison Cavani for the attack.
