Man C were better in the first and led through Sterling, but Liverpool fought back brilliantly in the second, equalised through Matip and could have easily won it, but Wijnaldum hit a terrible pen in the shootout and City were crowned champions. Mass celebrations among the City player and you have to feel for Liverpool as although City were much better in the first half, Liverpool outplayed them in the second half, but it just wasn't their day. Two efforts off the woodwork, Walker cleared off the line and many saves by Bravo. Sterling will be relieved after his two glaring misses.

Match point for Jesus now. And he scores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alisson went the right way, but the penalty was too good!!! City win 5-4 on penalties after hanging on for pens!

Miss and lose for Salah and he scores!!!! Right in the corner and Bravo almost saves it!

Zinchenko to take City's fourth. 3-3 here. Alisson gets good hands to it and still goes in!!!! It wasn't a great pen, Alisson dived to his left, but it went through the goalie's hands and it was smacked with power.

Sane's in trouble here! He has turned his knee terribly while running for the ball with Alexander-Arnold. It's his right knee and there was no contact from the defender.

What a chance for Salah!!! City lose it stupidly in their own half, Liverpool move it and Firmino plays in Salah, but he hits it wide of the post. Should have done better.
