TEAM NEWS
Liverpool
After around two months out through injury, Dejan Lovren may make a welcomed return to Liverpool's defence, although Klopp may well bench him due to concerns over conserving fitness.
Roberto Firmino, who suffered an ankle injury against Manchester United a couple of weeks ago, is sure to return to Klopp's starting XI after being brought on as a sub in last weekend's Merseyside derby.
Mohamed Salah will try to end his longest league goal drought for Liverpool, while Sadio Mane is likely to be pushed out wide on the left. James Milner has been suffering with a muscular problem but may recover to challenge Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita in Liverpool's midfield trio.
Burnley
Johann Berg Gudmundsson is likely to make a start for the visitors, who are still without Steven Defour and Aaron Lennon. As for the rest of his team, Sean Dyche is likely to play with an unchanged side despite an underwhelming defeat to Crystal Palace at home as their most recent outing.
MANAGERS' THOUGHTS
Jurgen Klopp
Reds manager's comments on the last encounter with Burnley:
"There is nothing to say about that any more,” Klopp said. “I say what I said at the time, nearly three months ago. We are human beings, we react in the moment. I made a lot of mistakes in my life, and most of the time I regret them.
Thoughts ahead of the Burnley game:
“We never thought about what the other teams were doing. The plan is clear: we have to win football games. We wanted to be in a position to fight for the top spot in the league and we are still in it and that is all we need to be positive and optimistic.
“Our only problem this weekend is Burnley and that is enough.”
Klopp on Salah's three game goal drought:
"We didn’t really speak about it or whatever because it’s completely normal."
Sean Dyche
Burnley manager on Liverpool's bid for the title:
“Trust me, we are not interested in having a say in the title race; we are interested in getting points on the table. Can we get another point, or can we get another win? Those are the challenges," said the Clarets manager. "To see if we can take on mighty powers like Liverpool, at their place and get a result.
Every manager looks after himself and we still have work to do.”
