The Brazilian shot-stopper is now considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and joined Liverpool for a then-record £65 million this summer.
While he has helped to sure things up at the back for Jurgen Klopp's side this year, he still parts of his game he could improve upon, and has revealed the shot-stoppers he most admires.
"I like Jan Oblak; he's one I follow very closely, and Ter Stegen. Both of them are greats." he told 'Goal'.
"There are others, but at this point, these are the ones that are showing more.
"Very high technical level, very high concentration level too; they are raising the competition level among us goalkeepers.
"It's a healthy competition to see which of us will be the best at the end of the year."
A noticeable omission was Man Utd's David De Gea, but with Liverpool's intense rivalry with the 'Red Devils' Alisson's fans will thank him for that.
