Jurgen Klopp is still looking for another reinforcement for an already lethal strike force, but they need another reinforcement to make Liverpool even stronger. As Werner was signed by Chelsea, Liverpool are looking at options elsewhere.
That is the case of Marcus Thuram, a 22 year-old French attacker who is son of Lilian Thuram. This campaign he has been at Borussia Monchengladbach. There were reports in Germany of Liverpool signing him back in April, but that is now looking less and less likely.
According to 'La Nazione', Fiorentina have joined the bidding war and seriously going for Thuram. He moved to Gladbach from Guingamp and he scored 14 goals and got eight assists in 39 matches this season.
'Express' in Germany said that Gladbach have put a 48 million euro price tag on Thuram. Despite his price, Fiorentina could sign him if Federico Chiesa leaves the club. He is wanted by Man Utd, Juventus and Inter.
It remains to be seen what happens at Liverpool, who see Thuram as a great complement to the likes of Salah, Firmino and Mane because of youth, energy and ability to play in all areas in attack.
