It's been over a month now since Liverpool conquered the Wanda Metropolitano to win their sixth European crown, beating Tottenham 2-0 in a final that they always looked in control of.
Immediately after their victory, all eyes turned to Jürgen Klopp, who was finally able to put an end to his finals curse by leading the Reds to Champions League glory.
A busy summer of international football quickly took the spotlight away from Liverpool and Klopp, who took some deserved holiday before a busy season begins with the Community Shield in August.
Now, with the start of the new season around the corner, the Liverpool boss is making headlines once again, bringing back an old fear that Liverpool had in the past. Klopp wouldn't leave the Reds for any other club, but the offer to coach the German national team could indeed tempt him.
“Jurgen himself once said that in the event that Joachim Löw someday no longer wants to be the national coach and it would be possible for him do that, this is an option for him", said the 52 year-old's agent.
Even so, Kosicke insisted it was quite unlikely that Klopp will be changing scenery any time soon: “Jurgen is currently not affordable. But it is difficult to measure the transfer fee in his case anyway.
“How is this going to work for a coach who has increased the club’s value from nearly £900million to just under £2.8billion? That is not how it works.”
