Liverpool determined to sign Jeremie Frimpong for €40m

Leverkusen surprised fans around the world last season when they came within a whisker of an unbeaten treble that had never been seen before in the history of the game.

Despite suffering a heavy defeat in the Europa League final, the German team went on to win the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal, ending their trophy curse.

The 2024/25 season has not been as successful for Leverkusen, but the fans have still been able to enjoy the Champions League as well as seeing their team finish the season as runners-up and re-secure their presence in the prestigious tournament next season.

However, the team will be hit hard this summer in the form of departures. Florian Wirtz looks set to be Bayern Munich's next signing, while Xabi Alonso will soon be announced as Real Madrid's new coach.

Another player who has been key in both defense and attack for the German side has been Jeremie Frimpong, who is on Liverpool's radar. In fact, Florian Plettenberg claims that the Reds are determined to sign him and that the Dutch full-back could join them for around 40 million euros.
