Liverpool announce new '90s-inspired' third kit for 2025/26

Liverpool finally announced their third kit for the 2025/26 season, something that several teams had already done over the summer but which the Reds waited to do once the season had already started.
Arne Slot's new third kit, inspired by the 1990s, has been very well received by fans on social media due to its distinctive green colour and the return of the adidas logo and the retro Liverpool badge.
"Liverpool FC and adidas have revealed the Reds’ new third kit for the 2025-26 season – a bold design that blends heritage with modern performance, to honour one of the most iconic eras in the club’s history. The new jersey boasts a striking sea-green colourway inspired by classic LFC and adidas designs from the 1990s and early 2000s.
It also features the return of the adidas Originals Trefoil to an LFC kit for the first time in almost 35 years and is available in three different versions: short-sleeve, long-sleeve, as well as a newly created cropped version.
On the reverse of the jersey, the 97 emblem encased by the eternal flames sits proudly at the nape of the neck.
Pristine white shorts feature sea-green detailing and sea-green socks. Adding to the heritage feel, the kit also brings back the classic LFC crest from 1987 to 1992, uniting memories of the past with a modern look for today’s teams," reads the statement.
It is reported that Arne Slot's side could debut this kit in their next Premier League match, when they visit Burnley at Turf Moor on Matchday 4 of the Premier League on Saturday 14 September at 15:00 CET.
