Sadio Mane is set to leave Liverpool. Bayern Munich have been interested in the Senegalese for some time and they look to have finally got their man.
The two clubs met in England on Friday and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool have finally accepted Bayern's latest offer. Romano also gives details on the transfer fee. It will cost 32 million euros plus add-ons which could go up to 40 million.
Mane "asked to leave in a respectful way" after the Champions League final, but "Liverpool wanted to sign Nunez in order to approve Sadio's departure". That is the explanation Romano gives for the delay in Bayern completing the signing. The 30 year-old striker is set to pen a three year deal at the German giants and his first competitive appearance could come away to Leipzig in the German Super Cup on 30th July.
Mane has scored 120 goals and provided 38 assists in 269 appearances for the Merseysiders in his five years at the club. He has won several trophies such as the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup during his time there.
