That's it for ths one! Wolves were really pushing for a winner late on but they were unable to get there. Marco Silva will feel agrieved about the red card decision still, but should be proud of his team's resolute defensive display in that second half. Not a stunning game full of chances, but on balance both teams will probably feel that this is a fair result in the circumstances.
  • 90'
    4 minutes added on.
  • 83'
Richarlison leaves to make way for fellow new boy Lucas Digne. He's not been particularly good for prolonged periods, but he showed his quality when it was needed.
  • 79'
GOAL!!! Jimenez gets that much-needed goal. It was a fantastic header from an inviting ball from the left, and Jordan Pickford is helpless to stop it going in. It's harsh on Everton's resolute defending since their second goal.
  • 76'
Ruben Viagre comes on for Jonny as the hosts look for some inspiration to get level.
  • 68'
GOAL!!!! Who saw that coming? In one of the only meaningful attacks of the second half, Richarlison picks up the ball and drives in to the Wolves box, before wonderfully slotting the ball in to the far corner low to Rui Patricio's left. Game on!
  • 65'
Everton nearly get a goal against the run of play, with Ruben Neves scrambling about in the box, but Theo Walcott's attempt to turn the ball in is blocked well.
  • 60'
Jimenez was bearing down on goal, but Jordan Pickford stays big and makes an excellent save one-on-one.
  • 58'
Cenk Tosun has been absent all game, and again fails to make an impact as he can't get on to Michael Keane's lay off.
  • 56'
This game's slowed down as Everton just look to preserve what they have. Going to be a long half for those Everton defenders
  • 49'
Richarlison wins a corner for his team, which Baines swings in.
  • 46'
Wolves get the second period under way.
  • 45'
What an eventful end to the half. After a quiet inital 40 minutes from Wolves, which included conceding the Richarlison goal from a set piece, the home side are very much the favourites in this one now. That one mistake from Phil Jagielka has seen his side lose a man and concede a goal. Marco Silva will not be a happy man in the away dressing room, that's for sure.
  • 45'
GOALLLL!!! Can Ruben Neves score simple goals? The Portuguese maestro bends a freekick in to the top right corner of the Everton goal, with Pickford unable to get a strong enough hand to keep it out. Everton are penalised for Jagielka's error by losing him and conceding from the free-kick that was rewarded as a result. Not a great 5 minutes for the Toffees there!
  • 42'
Sigurdsson is the man to make way as Mason Holgate comes on to fill in the gap in defence left by Jagielka's dismissal.

Where did that come from?? Out of nowhere Jagielka controls the ball poorly and lunges in to a challenge that was intended to win the ball, but studs were showing. Wolves could be back in this!
  • 39'
Sigurdsson thinks he's in on goal, but is offside by the finest of margins.
  • 34'
Jimenez with a nice darting run in to the box, but can't quite steer it towards goal. Wolves need more of that attacking intent if they're to get back in to the game.
  • 33'
Baines swings in a free-kick from the left, but this time it doesn't lead to anything and Wolves earn a resulting free-kick to avert any danger.
  • 22'
Joao Mouthinho with his first shot on goal, but the veteran midfielder can only blast over the Everton goal from distance.

GOAL!!! Richarlison repays some of the immense fee that Everton paid for him, by stabbing hom from close range from a free kick swung in from Leighton Baines on the left. Wolves finding out how ruthless the Premier League is already.

Seamus Coleman tries a drive from inside the box, but it's straight at the Wolves keeper.
  • 9'
Rui Patricio gets his hands on the ball for the first time in the Premier League, after he claims an Everton corner well.
  • 6'
Theo Walcott gives away a corner, but it's easily headed away by the Everton defence.
  • 3'
Wolves have shown their attacking intent already in this one, while Everton are looking to go for it as well when they can. I can't see this being a 0-0...

In the true spirit of football clubs having to create dramatic videos to post on their social media accounts, here is Everton's attempt to kick off the new season.
  • PRVW
Much of Everton's transfers happened very late in the window, which means that only 2 of their new boys are included in the squad. Richarlison starts while Lucas Digne is on the bench for this one.
  • PRVW
The visitors Everton will look as follows: Pickford; Coleman, Jagielka, Keane, Baines; Schneiderlin, Gueye; Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Tosun.
  • PRVW
Wolves will line up as follows: Rui Patricio; Bennett, Coady, Boly; Doherty, Moutinho, Neves, Jonny; Jota, Jimenez, Costa.
  • PRVW
This game will also have a distinctive Portuguese flavour, with Marco Silva and Nuno Espirito Santo both hailing from Portugal. Not only are the managers from the small nation, 5 of Wolves's starting line up are Portuguese.

Hello and welcome to this opening weekend clash in the Premier League season between Wolves and Everton. Both teams will line up very differently to how they did when they last played a league game, as they both looked to invest heavily in their squads over the summer.
