LIVE
90'
FT: Tranmere Rovers 0 - 6 Man United. The damage was done in the first half and Ole can breathe easy. Three goals in six minutes did the job and United were able to fill their boots. Tranmere were tired and this was a bridge too far. No need to talk about the pitch and well done to their fans. The One Show and the fifth round draw awaits United.
88'
Lingard is down after a heavy challenge from Caprice, but it looks as though he'll be able to continue.
86'
Chong smashes the bar! Lingard feeds a pass out towards Chong who drives at a backtracking Caprice before hammering a powerful shot across goal that flicks off the bar before flying behind for a goal kick!
82'
Hepburn-Murphy goes close! The sub has provided Tranmere with a burst of energy suddenly and this time he skips past Pereira just outside the box, before lashing a fierce shot across goal that goes inches wide!
78'
Jennings is brought down by Fred on the edge of the area, offering Tranmere a chance to grab a consolation.
76'
Lingard goes close to a seventh! Lingard finds himself in space on the edge of the box again and doesn't hesitate to take a touch out his feet, before whipping in a shot that flicks off the outside of the far post and wide!
73'
Double Tranmere subbing: Blackett-Taylor for Hepburn-Murphy, and Paul Mullin, scorer of the winner v Watford, comes on for Ferrier.
72'
Dalot and Greenwood, two players with an eye on a first-team berth, have continued to take up the pace. They want more goals to prove their worth.
70'
To be fair to Tranmere, United have not even been that good. This has just been one of those games were the youngsters want to show their quality, and with Man Utd as frustrated in the Premier League as they are, this is just one of those games... They're letting their frustration out.
67'
Tranmere win themselves a free-kick in a dangerous area but Morris miscues his delivery and it's walloped away by the first defender.
65'
Gilmour replaces Perkins in midfield for Tranmere.
64'
Maguire's replaced by Williams after an expert display in United's back three.
60'
Ferrier goes close for Tranmere! The attacker gathers possession near the halfway line and - with few options available - he elects to zoom past Jones before racing through on goal at an angle, but after such a tiring run he can only manage a weak shot into the side netting.
56'
GREENWOOD SCORES THE PENALTY! 6-0! Greenwood steps up confidently and sends Davies the wrong way with a calm finish, low into the bottom corner!
55'
Davies is booked for bringing down Chong in the area and he'll be relieved not to have been shown a red card there. Man Utd get a penalty...
49'
Lingard and Greenwood attempt an intricate one-two on the edge of the area, but Greenwood's return pass is overhit and it runs through to Davies.
46'
A few subs this second half! Martial is replaced by Chong as United can afford to rest their more important players now, and Matic makes way for Fred in the midfield.
46'
Back underway!
45'
HT: Tranmere Rovers 0 -5 Manchester United. Manchester United go into the break with an overwhelming 5-0 lead after blowing Tranmere away in the first period. The hosts started brightly and initially it looked as though we could be in for a well-matched game as United were forced to fend off a number of set-pieces., but Man Utd's efforts have been too much to handle for the modest club.
45'
MARTIAL MAKES IT FIVE! 5-0! Tranmere back off Martial on the edge of the area, before the attacker whips a curling effort at goal that flicks off Clarke on its way into the top corner, leaving Davies motionless!
43'
United are now seeing out the half with another long period of possession as Tranmere attempt to deal with the shock of conceding four goals in one half.
41'
UNITED GET A FOURTH! 4-0! Pereira puts in an outswinging cross that drifts towards Jones at the back post, who simply rises to cushion a looping header back over Davies and into the left corner!
32'
Morris cuts out a switch aimed towards Greenwood, presenting Caprice with an opportunity to drive into the vacated space, but Greenwood tracks back superbly to recover and slide in to retrieve possession.

27'
Manchester United look a lot more confident here than they have in Old Trafford. Football is funny like that.
24'
Perkins falls over on a pothole but Jesse Lingard is penalised. That looks a harsh decision. Blackett-Taylot then escapes down the flank and puts a promising ball across goal but there are no takers.
23'
Greenwood wants to join the scoresheet, but his shot is blocked by Caprice.
20'
Chance for Tranmere as Ferrier cuts in and shoots, but Romero gets down and saves well.

Three goals within six minutes from United; the panic can abate for now. Mind you, Tranmere were three goals down to Watford and drew 3-3.
16'
JESSE LINGARD SCORES A THIRD!!!!
15'
Despite a promising start Tranmere have a mountain to climb now! The hosts have looked threatening going forward and haven't even looked too troubled at the back. However, United's class has told and two wonderful goals have made all the difference so far.
13'
2-0! Martial slips a pass out towards Dalot on the right-wing, allowing the defender to jink past Ridehalgh, before entering the box and lashing a fierce shot across goal that flashes past Davies and into the bottom corner! Another brilliant finish!
13'
GOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!! DALOT SCORES HIS FIRST FOR MAN UTD!
11'
MANCHESTER UNITED TAKE THE LEAD! 1-0! That's a brilliant strike from Maguire! Tranmere back off United as they slow build an attack in midfield, before Maguire strolls out of defence to fire a swerving shot from 30 yards that glances off Clarke's head before spiraling into the top corner! Davies stood no chance!
10'
GOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!! HARRY MAGUIRE!
7'
Essentially evrry single player is already full of mud. This pitch issue will be very fun to watch, but not so fun for the players.
6'
Tranmere have started brightly! The hosts have plenty of pace in attack and every time they gain possession they're looking to quickly move the ball into positions where they can run at the United defence.
4'
Jones is booked for cynically bringing Ferrier down near the touchline.
1'
And we're off!
Prev.
As far as line-ups go, it looks like Ole has opted for three centre backs, unless Phil Jones is going to resurrect his central midfield role... Can Man Utd get back to winning ways today? They should, considering who they're playing...
Prev.
There has been one hell of an effort from volunteers and the club to get the pitch ready for this match, really quick turnaround. It looks like the centre of the field is where the best surface is. Prenton Park also hosts the Liverpool women’s team and a waterlogged pitch caused the cancellation of a women’s Merseyside derby not too long ago.
Prev.
It's a very meaningful day for Tranmere Rovers' fans, who were non-league club as recently as last May... Hosting Solskjaer's men is one of those once in a lifetime moments for the locals, regardless of the team's current situation.
Prev.
Manchester United starting XI: Sergio Romero; Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Phil Jones; Diogo Dalot, Andreas Pereira, Nemanja Matic, Luke Shaw; Jesse Lingard; Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial.
Prev.
Tranmere Rovers starting Xi: Scott Davies; Jack Caprice, Peter Clarke, Emmanuel Monthe, Liam Ridehalgh; Neil Danns, David Perkins; Kieron Morris, Connor Jennings, Corey Taylor; Morgan Ferrier.
