    FT: TOTTENHAM 0-1 MANCHESTER UNITED- In the auditions for the next permanent United manager, the interim beats the favourite, as Solskjaer's side hold out for a narrow victory. Tottenham will be disappointed that they did not get at least one goal, especially as they dominated the second half. However a mature defensive display from United was enough to see them take the spoils at Wembley.

    CHANCE SPURS- Llorente chests down a long ball brilliantly and aims a lobbed pass to Kane at the back post. Yet the Englishman misses the ball by a whisker, and the result seems beyond the hosts now.

    YELLOW CARD UNITED- Pogba lunges in very high on Alli and catches the Englishman on the top of the knee with his studs. Pogba is shown a yellow card by Mike Dean, but it could easily have been a red. It was a horrible challenge!

    CHANGE UNITED- Lukaku comes on up front for the visitors, replacing Anthony Martial.

    CHANCE SPURS- Kane takes the kick, looping the ball over the wall and towards the top corner. But De Gea reads the shot and leaps to catch the ball comfortably.

    CHANCE UNITED- the second phase of the corner sees Young reach the by line and produce a dangerous cross, but the header from Pogba is aimed straight at Lloris, and his compatriot gathers with ease.

    A frantic beginning to this second half has seen both sides fashion chances, albeit if the hosts have enjoyed the more clear cut ones. But for keeper David de Gea, United could have been pegged back here, as it is, they still hold a narrow lead at Wembley.

In truth, either side could have been in the lead, after a great exhibition of attacking football, but United's clinical finishing sees them ahead at the interval.

    GOOOOAAALLL UNITED! 0-1! A brilliant looped pass across the park from Pogba sees Rashford in on goal, and the Englishman makes no mistake. He shoots low across Lloris and the ball nestles into the far side of the net. Solskjaer's side have the lead just before the break!

    CHANGE SPURS- Sissoko is forced off with that injury and is replaced by Erik Lamela.

    INJURY SPURS- Mousa Sissoko is down holding his groin and looks unable to continue. The midfielder seemed to pull up whilst chasing a forward pass, which is a real shame for the hosts, as he is so often a key player for them.

    CHANCE SPURS- Winks lets fly from long range, but his effort is wayward and never looked like troubling the United rearguard.

    OFFSIDE SPURS- A combination of Alli and Kane run across the front post and the ball sneaks into the bottom corner, but the flag is up and the goal has been chalked off.

Tottenham defenders manage to limit the danger to a long range effort from Martial; the Frenchman attempts to curl the ball into the far top corner, but puts too much power on it, and it flies over the bar.
