Martial once again tried to bend his shot into the far corner, but it whistled just wide.

Second half underway.

We're back!

Final forty-five minutes at White Hart Lane. At the moment, it has been perfect for Spurs fans, but Mourinho will hope for a reaction from his team.

Half time

Tottenham have been all over United from the start. They could, and probably should, be a few goals up, but at the moment it is Wanyama who has managed to score past a fantastic De Gea.

De Gea saves!

A good passing move from Spurs and Kane struck the ball for the keeper to save.

Yellow card Rooney

De Gea again!

Alli bursts into the box from the right, and fires a shot at goal, but the Spanish keeper clears well, again.

Another chance Spurs!

It's a miracle it's only 1-0. De Gea scrambles to clear a looping cross that is heading into the back of the net.

Off the crossbar!

Very clear chances now. Eriksen whipped the ball in from the right and Kane gets to the ball ahead of De Gea as his header skims off the top of the bar.

Save De Gea!

Son gets a bit lucky as he bursts down the middle, his shot is straight at the keeper who parries well, and Eriksen strikes the follow up wide.

United close!

Rooney finds Martial with a long ball, and he shakes off Alderweireld to get into the box. The Frenchman tries to curl the ball inside the far post, but it is inches wide.

Rooney over the bar!

The captain tried to head in Mata's cross, but he could not keep his effort down.

Spurs lead!

Eriksen takes the short free kick for Davies. The left back crosses for Wanyama to power a header past De Gea. Woeful defending and Mourinho will not be happy.
