Tottenham Hotspur V Chelsea - As it happened.
FT: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1-0 CHELSEA- A spirited second half display from Chelsea, but their inability to score in recent weeks was again on show this evening, as the hosts hold out to take a slim advantage into the second leg.
CHANGE SPURS- Llorente replaces Eriksen for the remaining minutes.
CHANGE SPURS- Winks is replaced by fellow youngster Oliver Skipp for the final few minutes.
FREE KICK CHELSEA- Lamela is through on goal, but is adjudged to have fouled Alonso and Tottenham are denied a clear chance on goal!
CHANCE CHELSEA- Hazard fizzes in a low cross which causes havoc in the Spurs box. Keeper Gazzaniga fumbles the ball back into the box, and without the cover of defender Sanchez, Giroud would have been on hand to tap home.
YELLOW CARD SPURS- Lamela is booked for the corresponding foul on Hazard.
FREE KICK CHELSEA- Another chance for the visitors to load the box here...
CHANGE CHELSEA- A final change for the visitors sees Giroud replace Hudson-Odoi.
CHANGE SPURS- Lamela comes on to replace Son.
CHANGE CHELSEA- Kovacic comes on to replace Barkley in the middle of the park.
CHANGE CHELSEA- A first change of the game for the visitors, as Pedro comes on to replace Willian on the wing.
YELLOW CARD SPURS- Sanchez flies into the back of Hazard and is rightly booked.
CHANCE CHELSEA- Barkley flicks the ball towards the back post but centre half Christensen cannot sort out his feet and he prods the most golden of opportunities wide of the target from mere yards out!
CORNER CHELSEA- A chance to put the ball into the box...
CHANCE CHELSEA- Kante fires a wicked shot at goal and again Gazzaniga is forced into a smart stop to deny him! Chelsea edging closer to the leveller here!
CHANCE SPURS- Kane takes aim from distance and Kepa is forced to get a strong hand to parry the effort wide for a corner.
CHANCE TOTTENHAM- Kane breaks through the Chelsea back line but Rudiger slides in at the very last to deny the strike! What a great challenge that was!
And we are back underway at Wembley! Let's hope for more goalmouth action in this second half!
HT: TOTTENHAM 1-0 CHELSEA- the hosts are ahead at the break via the boot of Harry Kane and an excellent VAR decision. In truth, the match has flattered to deceive, with the majority of the play being focused in the middle third of the pitch and neither side really testing their opponent's goal. Nevertheless, Pochettino's side lead at the break!
CHANCE CHELSEA- Hudson-Odoi sends in a dangerous cross, and a deflection off Danny Rose forces Gazzaniga to push the ball onto the under side of the bar! Nearly a freak equaliser for the visitors there!
FREE KICK TOTTENHAM- Hudson-Odoi bundles over Rose and a great spell of Chelsea pressure is halted.
CHANCE CHELSEA- Hudson-Odoi comes in from the right wing and tries to curl a shot into the far post. However he slices the ball and it flies well wide of the goal.
CHANCE CHELSEA- Willian puts in a great cross to the near post, and Kante makes an intelligent run to volley the ball towards goal, but it unfortunately hits the outside of the post! very close to an equaliser there!
Chelsea are just starting to build their first head of steam in this contest. They have seemed overwhelmed by their hosts at times but are just gaining in confidence in the last few moments.

Hazard tries his luck from range, but hardly challenges Gazzaniga in the Tottenham goal.
Frantic action in the middle of the park here, but not much action in either penalty area as of yet.
CHANCE SPURS- Trippier fizzes in a great cross to Kane, and the Englishman produces an acrobatic effort at goal. Kepa is equal to it but Tottenham are just winding into gear here.
CHANCE CHELSEA- Barkley takes aim from the edge of the box, but his effort curls wide of the net.
