As it stands, Portugal would stretch the gap with Hungary to 5 points, and they would edge closer to Switzerland. Andre Silva and Ronaldo got the goals, against a weak Hungary side compared to the one we saw in the Euro's.

Ronaldo feeling confident now. Joao Mario dribbling at the edge of the box and lobs a lovely ball behind the defence. Cristiano, with his back to the goal, goes for the overhead kick, but Gulacsi saves. It would have been impressive.

What a goal from Ronaldo! A long ball forward sees Andre Silva bring the ball down brilliantly for his captain. Cristiano puts the ball on to his left foot and unleashes a brilliant low strike which Gulacsi cannot reach.

Porto centre-forward Andre Silva got the goal. Ronaldo opened up for Guerreiro who put in a lovely low cross which the striker finished with the inside of his right foot.

Quaresma's cross took a deflection and fell sweetly for Ronaldo at the back post. The Portugal skipper headed wide across goal.

Just when Portugal were on the front foot, Hungary break and get a shot, which is blocked by Cedric.

After a shaky start, the home side seems to be in charge. They are trying to build from the back, and possession does not last long for Hungary.

Crucial match for both teams
It is a win or win situation for both sides, but specially for the current European title holders. Portugal lost their first game at the hands of Switzerland, but have since picked up three successive victories to put them second. Hungary also lost against Switzerland, and are sitting two points behind Portugal due to an unexpected tie with the Faroe Islands.
