LIVE
Post.
As always, we thank you for joining us this evening! See you soon for some more Premier League action.
94'
FT: Manchester United 2-1 Tottenham. Solskjaer can sleep in the comfort of knowing that this is definitely not his last game as Man U manager, as some had said it would had it been a negative result. Meanwhile, Mourinho suffers his first loss as Spurs manager, against his former team no less, and it's no dout a painful one as his side were definitely not the best ones tonight.
93'
ALMOST! Dele Alli almost gets the equaliser but de Gea makes yet ANOTHER clinical save!
90'
Four minutes of added time!
89'
Tottenham in the thick of it now as they try to fasten the pace. If only they had played like this earlier... This could be a first loss for Mourinho against his old team, no less!
88'
Ndombele tries his chance with a low shot from outside the box but De Gea makes yet another save.
86'
Luke Shaw replaces Jesse Lingard after an apparent injury Sloskjaer is not willing to risk.
85'
Giovani Lo Celso replaces Moussa Sissoko while Lingard lays on the ground after an apparent cramp.
84'
Son weaves his way through traffic in the middle of the park to offload to Kane. He works a pass to Alli before Aurier takes over the attack. The Ivorian goes for a deep cross to the back post, but De Gea makes the claim with ease.
83'
SAVE BY DE GEA! Spurs get their first chance in a while but the Manchester United goalkeeper manages to keep it out after Eriksen almost scores.
81'
Spurs were enjoying a little bit of possession, but Pereira is fouled and the visitors have to stop their action.
80'
Pereira comes on for the final 10 minutes to replace youngster Greenwood.
78'
Ndombele has options bursting forward, but he plays his pass between Son and Alli, which sees the ball trickle out for a United throw-in.
74'
Spurs are struggling to show a clinical edge in the final third this evening. It's just not working in their approach to break down the United defence.
72'
Some clear time-wasting from McTominay here. Could have been booked for that.
70'
Ndombele replaces Winks for the visitors. Mourinho may not wish to test the durability of Winks' ankle after his fall.
68'
Good stop from Gazzaniga who again denies James, with the Welshman's placed effort towards the bottom corner well pushed away by the keeper.
63'
Lucas Moura comes off after an average start, and Christian Eriksen comes on instead. Mourinho will be hoping he can get the Danish player's destabilizing effects in full swing.
61'
Mourinho really needs to make some changes as his Plan A is not coming along all that well at the moment.
59'
Frustration for Vertonghen down the left flank as he scoops his cross over the bar. However, there were not a lot of options for him to hit in the middle
57'
Not much response from Spurs, mind you they have been too occupied trying to stop Rashford who is terrorising them. He's been a real headache for Aurier.
54'
WIDE! Spurs work the ball in tight quarters on the edge of the box before Kane takes on the strike on his left foot. Lindelof sticks out a boot and diverts it wide of the target.
52'
BLOCK! Young loses out to Lucas on the right flank and the Brazilian lifts a cross into the box for Son. The winger controls it before cutting inside to fire at goal amid a crowd of bodies, and Fred is the man to make the block to deny the visitors.
50'
There is a long wait for the penalty to be taken but Marcus Rashford holds his nerve, waits for Paulo Gazzaniga to commit, then simply slots the ball into the opposite corner. Ice cool stuff from the United striker.
49'
GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!
46'
POSSIBLE PENALTY FOR MAN UTD!!! Rashford skins Aurier down the left flank and he surges into the box. Sissoko gets back to try to stop his progress, but he puts in a clumsy challenge and brings down the forward.
46'
Back underway!
45'
HT: Man United 1-1 Spurs. The hosts have definitely been the better teams despite the usual flurry of mistakes, but Marcus Rashford stands out with his frequent chances and good eye for occasions. Dele Alli made 1-1 a few minutes before the break, so it's still a very open match! See you in 15 for more!
45'
2 minutes of added time and it ends with a corner for the hosts!
44'
Rashford gets a sore one in the ribs as he tries to latch on to Fred's ball over the top. However, Gazzaniga is sharp off his line to make the intervention ahead of the forward. The United man appears to be okay after treatment.
42'
United's propensity to concede goals has reared its head once again. That's now six in their last three Premier League games.
40'
It's checked by VAR... AND IT STANDS! WHAT A BEAUTY! It’s a cross from the left that goes through to the right, where a shot is blasted goalwards. De Gea beats it away, but Dele Alli, with his back to goal, gets to it, flicks it up and over his head before spinning and volleying it in!
39'
GOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!! DELE ALLI!!!!!!!!!!!!
36'
Spurs are trying to get the possession back but they're lacking intensity. The ball is going nowhere when they are in possession and United are only too happy to defend it before going on a counter attack.
34'
Son and Aurier combine down the right flank twice in wo minutes, but on this occasion there's no one there in the middle to attack the cross from the right-back.
30'
We are 30 minutes in and this is not the game anyone who's been paying attention was expecting. Man United leading and Spurs looking very list.
28'
WIDE! United are all over Spurs at the moment. Young threads a pass through to Lingard, but the midfielder bends his effort wide of the target.
27'
SAVE! United keep the pressure on the Tottenham backline. They work the ball around the edge of the box before Lingard tees up Rashford to bend one towards the bottom-left corner, but Gazzaniga makes the save!
24'
Marcus Rashford almost makes it 2-0 but it's off the bar! The Man U player is creating a lot of danger for the hosts at the moment.
23'
SAVE! Gazzaniga atones for his error with a good stop to deny Greenwood.
20'
Tottenham struggling in the final third at the moment. Not much fluency from Mourinho's side.
18'
WIDE! Rashford lines up the strike at goal and he wraps his right foot around the ball, firing towards the top-left corner. However, his attempt drifts just wide of the target.
17'
Fred takes the ball out of the air with a neat piece of control, but the gets fouled by a high boot from Sissoko. The referee awards a free-kick to the home side in a threatening position 25 yards from goal.
14'
James is back on after the medical staff checks on him.
13'
Winks goes into the book for the challenge.
13'
Winks takes out James on the slide down the right flank. James takes a nasty fall on the sideline and collides into Mourinho, who receives the full blow of the winger's head on his shin! At least Mou can boast about his shins? The player looks pretty seriously hurt...
12'
Harry Kane gets a chance to open the score with a free-kick but it goes over! Old Trafford sighs with relief.
8'
Tottenham enjoying a bit of possession now... But they have struggled these first few minutes. Can Mou's team come back from this early goal?
6'
1-0!!!! The striker beats Gazzaniga with a low strike towards the bottom-right corner to put the home side in the lead. Lingard does well down the left to win a battle with Sanchez. The ball finds Rashford in the left inside channel and he hammers his strike towards the corner. Gazzaniga gets down, but he can only turn it on to the post and the deflection strikes the inside of the woodwork and into the net!!! The local lad gets the early goal!
6'
GOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL MARCUS RASHFORD!
4'
Possession has been pretty shared in these first few minutes... But the hosts are pushing hard at the moment.
3'
Alderweireld clips a ball over the top for the run of Son, but De Gea is out to gather ahead of the Spurs winger.
1'
And we're off!
Prev.
Kicking off soon.... Mourinho walks on the Old Trafford pitch and gets quite a few interesting looks.
Prev.
Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young are also in. Tottenham make two changes, with Harry Winks and Lucas Moura replacing Tanguy Ndombele and Eric Dier.
Prev.
Quite a lot of team changing going on! At Old Trafford Manchester United bring in four, with Scott McTominay returning from injury and Mason Greenwood making his first league start of the campaign.
