FT: Manchester United 0-2 PSG - A fairly even first half gave way to a very one-sided second. Crucial away goals from Kimpembe and Mbappe put the visitors in control, before a bad evening got worse for United when Pogba saw red in the 89th minute. He will be suspended for the second leg in Paris.
PSG knocking the ball around for fun now, every completed pass drawing huge cheers from the away fans.
Luke Shaw is the latest to go into the book.
FOUR minutes added on.
Just to top off United's miserable day, their talisman Paul Pogba is sent off for a second yellow. He and Dani Alves went for a loose ball with Pogba arriving a fraction late but barely touching the Brazilian. A very debatable decision from the referee.
Dani Alves hits it straight into the wall.
Herrera flies into a very late sliding tackle on Mbappe and deservedly goes into the book. Free-kick for PSG in a good position...
Muted atmosphere at Old Trafford as the fans watch attack after attack come to nothing.
Romelu Lukaku comes on for Marcus Rashford. It was supposed to be the youngster's big night, but he has been outshone by Mbappe.
Ander Herrera curls an effort just high and wide of the goal. At least United are giving this a go!
Boos echo round Old Trafford as Angel Di Maria is replaced by Colin Dagba. Don't think the Argentine will mind too much, given the scoreline.
Young sends in a cross that misses everyone and goes out for a throw. That sums up his and United's evening.
Leandro Paredes replaces Marco Verratti, who has had a strong game today.
United finally starting to mount some attacks. There's still time to save this first leg...
Draxler is the latest to go close for the visitors, surging down the left and flashing a shot across goal. Luckily for United, De Gea is on hand to save again.
It's almost three! Mbappe races clear of the United defence and tries to dink de Gea, who manages to get a hand to it. The hosts need to sort themselves out.
Dani Alves hacks Pogba down and goes into the book. The referee has a few stern words with the Brazilian before walking away.
GOOOAAALL FOR PSG!! Mbappe latches onto a low cross to double PSG's lead. That could prove a huge goal in the tie.
This time Ander Herrera goes for goal with a volley. This one has a fair bit less power, and bounces wide of Buffon's right post.
Dani Alves goes for goal with an audacious long-range volley. It's deflected and flies inches wide. Worrying times for the Red Devils.
GOOOAAALL FOR PSG!! There's the breakthrough! From the resulting corner Kimpembe has all the space in the world to volley home the opener. Poor defending from United. 1-0!
Dani Alves crosses for Mbappe, whose header forces a fine save from de Gea.
PSG controlling the second period so far...
Victor Lindelof goes into the book for tugging at Mbappe as the French striker tried to twist away.
And we're back underway!
Anthony Martial, another who appeared to be struggling towards the end of that first half, is replaced by Juan Mata at the start of the second half.
HT: Manchester United 0-0 PSG - A fairly close affair, with both sides struggling to get a foothold on the game. The visitors had the best chance of the game however, with Kylian Mbappe shooting just wide when clear through on goal. All to play for in the second half.
Lingard is replaced by Alexis Sanchez just before half-time.
Jesse Lingard seems to be injured, and has requested to come off.
Dani Alves takes it, but his effort flies over.
Free-kick for PSG in a very dangerous position just before the break.
A small fight has broken out after a heavy challenge by Young on Di Maria...
An injury scare for United as Anthony Martial hits the deck and doesn't get up. Alexis Sanchez is warming up.
Di Maria runs through on goal and rounds de Gea, before the Spanish goalkeeper recovers and saves, much to the joy of the United faithful. None of it mattered though, since Di Maria was offside.
PSG's Juan Bernat upends Young, resulting in a yellow for the PSG defender.
Ashley Young brings down Mbappe as the striker tries to break.
Chance of the match! Draxler slips the ball through to Mbappe, who finds himself with only David de Gea to beat. Incredibly, the youngster can only fire wide.
Thomas Tuchel beginning to look frustrated with his charges as another pass goes out of play. He has a little tantrum on the touchline before returning to his seat.
Julian Draxler crashes into the back of Ander Herrera and goes into the book. The visitors are starting to look slightly rattled. Can United take advantage?
Ashley Young whips in a delicious cross that just misses Rashford and Martial. Then second later Pogba hits a long-range effort just over. Improvement from the hosts!
Fairly even game so far!
Pogba skips past Kimpembe and looks for Jesse Lingard with a low cross, but Buffon is on hand to smother.
Yellow card for Presnel Kimpembe as he chops down Rashford.
Rashford almost catches Buffon out with a shot from a very tight angle. The Italian veteran had to be on hand to make a quick stop there.
And the first chance of the game goes to PSG! Angel Di Maria, whose every touch had been booed so far, lets fly from the edge of the box, and his shot curls just wide. A warning sign for United...
PSG with a fairly high press too. Neither team being given much time on the ball.
United pressing PSG immediately, fuelled by the Old Trafford crowd. The pitch still appears slightly smokey due to a number of red flares that have been let off.
And we're off!
The teams are out, the atmosphere is incredible. Kick-off is imminent!
Warm-ups done, the players are now making their way to their respective changing rooms. Kick-off is fast approaching...
Another intriguing sub-plot is the battle between Marcus Rashford and Kylian Mbappe. The two wonderkids are seemingly constantly compared to one another - who will come out on top tonight?
The omens are good for United heading into this one. PSG have only won once on English soil in their history, while United have never lost at home to French opposition. But that's all history, and right now many have the French giants as favourites for this one.
Old Trafford is looking its spectacular best ahead of today's game. Can the team put in a performance to match?
And a strange looking PSG team. With Neymar and Edinson Cavani both absent, Dani Alves is deployed as part of the French side's front three. Marquinhos, usually a defender, slots in as a central midfielder, while the legendary Gianluigi Buffon is preferred to Alphonse Areola between the sticks.
So Marcus Rashford is preferred to Romelu Lukaku up front for the Reds, while Alexis Sanchez is again left out, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferring to opt for the in-form Anthony Martial. Both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, starters last weekend against Fulham, are out of the starting XI. In their place come Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof.
And tonight's visitors, PSG: Buffon; Kehrer, Thiago Silva, Kimpembe, Bernat; Verratti, Marquinhos, Draxler, Alves, Di María, Mbappé.
Time for some team news, starting with our hosts, Manchester United: De Gea; Young, Bailly, Lindelöf, Shaw; Matic, Pogba, Ander Herrera; Martial, Lingard, Rashford.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of tonight's huge Champions League clash between Manchester United and PSG!
