Out the players come. City in their sky blue kits, Liverpool in red. Not long now!

There's an impressive display of plastic blue and white flags at the Etihad as KO approaches. The Champions League anthem plays in the background. Magical.
  • PRVW
Although it's a big ask for City to turn this one around, the last time these two sides played at the Ethiad, the score was 5-0. If anyone can score 3+ goals in a game, it's Pep Guardiola's City.
  • PRVW
And Klopp's pre-match opinion: “Mo (Salah) is 100 per cent fit and so is Robbo (Robertson). City’s team is a statement – nice and offensive, so this will be exciting. They are going to try everything, and so will we.”
  • PRVW
Pep explaining his selection: “We have to attack. We need to score goals, so we need players with quality, and Fernandinho can play with the central defender. Sergio Aguero is not ready to play 90 minutes.”
  • PRVW
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp is boosted by the return of Mo Salah, who missed Saturday's Merseyside derby. The Egyptian rejoins the front three, ahead of a makeshift midfield, with Gini Wijnaldum replacing Jordan Henderson, who is suspended today.
  • PRVW
City's biggest absence tonight is Sergio Aguero. The striker came off the bench against United this weekend, but isn't yet fit to start. Pep has gone with a very attacking line-up, with only four recognised defensive players on the pitch. De Bruyne and Jesus were both rested against United, and return to the first XI.
  • PRVW
And the visitors' XI: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner (C), Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Firmino
  • PRVW
Here's the home side's line-up for tonight: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Silva (C), Sane, Sterling, Bernardo, Jesus
  • PRVW
If City win 4-0 tonight, they will go through to the next round, however Liverpool's clean sheet at home means that if Klopp's side score, City need to score five to win on aggregate. For the visitors, it's all about staying sharp at the back and trying to nick a goal, while Pep's side will aim to dominate the game.
