45'HT: Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo. Liverpool started the game really brightly and had three very good chances within the first six minutes which they couldn't convert. Flamengo grew into the game after that and were putting the Reds under a lot of pressure. Henrique, in particular, has looked dangerous, but he hasn't been able to help his team get on the scoresheet.

45'Sadio Mane is booked after he pushes Rafinha to the ground. That could have easily been a red, and Henderson intervenes to try and calm him down.

43'Keita gets his head up and spots Salah's run into the box. It's almost a very good pass into the Egyptian, but it's just slightly overhit which takes it away from him and into the goalkeeper's gloves.

41'Liverpool have a free-kick on the left wing and Robertson swings the cross into the box. Van Dijk is the closest to getting on the end of it, but it's over his head. Henderson did go to the ground under pressure from Mari, but the referee gives a free-kick to Flamengo. Very strange.

14'Liverpool playing very calmly, and it's very unsettling for Flamengo who can't seem to steal the ball away. They are reaching their box very comfortably and are clearly more at ease than during the semifinal.

12'Oxlade-Chamberlain does really well to keep hold of the ball on the edge of the box under pressure from Barbosa and he cuts inside to try and get a shot away. As he sets himself to shoot, Rafinha wins it back with a well-timed tackle.

5't's another brilliant pass over the top from Henderson as this time he picks out Salah. The Egyptian can't get a shot away but turns and lays it off to Keita. He leans back as he takes the shot though and again, the ball sails over the bar!

3'Both teams have gotten fairly close to score very early! Henrique plays a clever pass behind Van Dijk to pick out De Arrascaeta who finds himself in space on the edge of the box. He goes for goal, but the shot is too high as it ails over the crossbar.

1'First minute, first chance! And what a miss from Firmino! The ball is lifted over the defence and into the area, and Rodrigo Caio is caught flat-footed as Firmino bursts through - but he hoofs his shot over the bar! Liverpool should have been ahead in the first 40 seconds!

PRVWAs for Flamengo, they started slowly against Al-Hilal but came back from 1-0 down to win 3-1. They made club history by reaching the final in their first appearance at the Club World Cup and are looking for their fourth piece of silverware this season.

PRVWJorge Jesus, on the other hand, names an unchanged team from the one that started in the semi-final as he was clearly impressed with his side's performance, especially in the second half.

PRVWLiverpool left it late in their semi-final match against Monterrey as Roberto Firmino came off the bench to score in stoppage time and secure their place in the final as they go in search of their second trophy this season.

PRVWDespite the conversation surrounding this tournament - wether it matters or not - this feels like a momentous occasion for both teams. The title is said to "mean" more for the Brazilians. who don't always get to play against teams of such stature, but Jurgen Klopp is eager to change that.
