Liverpool v AFC Bournemouth - as it happened

FT: Liverpool 2-1 Bournemouth. Goalless second half despite chances from both teams. It's an unconvincing but needed win for Klopp's men who were needing a morale boosting performance after three consecutive losses. Bournemouth could have equalised in the final minutes, but a mistake from Wilson sees the Reds take the three points.

Klopp makes his second change of the game as Origi comes in for Firmino.

LATE CHANCE! A chipped free-kick from the right is only half cleared by Milner. Liverpool's defence step up and Ake is slotted in down the left. He opts against shooting and instead squares for Wilson, who trods on the ball and is offside.

Incredibly, Billing is back on the pitch. He can barely walk but Bournemouth do at least have all 11 players on the field for the remaining minutes.

Mane tries to chase down a pass over the top. He is sent crashing to the floor by Stacey, but there is not enough contact for the referee to award a penalty or free-kick.

Billing is barely able to walk as he makes his way to the sidelines. Bournemouth have already used all three substitutes and will therefore see out the remainder of this match with 10 men... Or with a broken Billing.

Solanke knees team-mate Billing in the hip area and the Bournemouth midfielder is in a lot of pain. The physios are quickly on. Meanwhile, Adam Lallana comes on for Oxlade-Chamberlain for the hosts.

Lerma is replaced by Gosling for the visitors.

Now it is Salah's turn to test Bournemouth, and after receiving Oxlade-Chamberlain's pass the Egyptian has a near-post shot saved by Ramsdale. The goalkeeper then does well to block James Milner's cross along with Nathan Ake also in the way.

OFF THE BAR! Mane's sweetly-struck shot from around 25 yards out crashes back off the crossbar. It has plenty of curl on it but not enough to find the top-right corner.

SHOT! The ball bounces around in the Bournemouth box and Firmino does well to bring it under control. The angle is against him but he drills a shot across the face of goal - that is as close as the hosts have come in this second half.

Salah tries to bring down a high ball with his shoulder, and uses his arm instead. A free kick out on the right. It’s floated in. There are five Bournemouth players offside, but the flag doesn’t go up. Ake and Solanke bustle around and force a corner. Liverpool are furious ... but finally the flag goes up. All very messy at the moment.

Solanke comes in for Stanislas for the visitors.

SAVE! Van Dijk gets away from Simpson for a free header. The centre-back does not really get any power behind it and Ramsdale makes a fairly routine save.

OFF THE LINE! Talk about a wake-up call! Fraser lifts the ball over Adrian, who is bailed out by Milner. The makeshift left-back rushes back and acrobatically clears off the line.

Klopp may well be tempted to turn to his bench as we reach the hour mark at Anfield. The Reds face a huge Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid in midweek and a few of their key men could do with a breather.

Bournemouth are reluctant to get forward when they do have possession of the ball. Liverpool, likewise, are not really offering a great deal in the final third.

Fraser has Wilson for support to his left but is unable to find him with the cross, instead blasting the ball straight at Milner.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has a dig from 25 yards. The ball cannons off Ake and away from danger. The hosts are on the front foot in the early stages of the second half.

Liverpool get us back up and running at Anfield. Neither side have made any changes.

HT: Liverpool 2-1 Bournemouth. Liverpool recovers from a goal down to lead Bournemouth 2-1 at half-time. Wilson gave the visitors the lead with a tap-in after nine minutes, the goal allowed to stand despite the striker's shove on Gomez in the build-up. Klopp's men hit back, however, profiting from a couple of errors to first level up through Salah and then take the lead through Mane.

Fraser works hard down the left to win a corner off Alexander-Arnold. Stanislas takes. Milner slaps it clear. Both teams are pushing for a goal that would significantly change the picture at half-time.

Liverpool are playing an incredibly high line. Bournemouth turn over possession and Smith goes long towards Wilson, but Adrian reads the danger and is quickly off his line.

Liverpool don’t look secure at the back at all. Lots of space.

Liverpool allow Junior Stanislas way too easily here, and the former West Ham man fires an effort straight at Adrian, who unconvincingly parries it behind for the corner. The Spaniard then punches away the corner and the Reds break, but Bournemouth eventually recover possession.

CHANCE! Alexander-Arnold floats the ball into the box and Milner watches it all the way. He is unable to make clean contact with his volley, however, and Ramsdale has a pretty straightforward save to make.

It is the first time Liverpool have taken the lead in a match for three matches. Klopp's men have been dominant since falling behind and look good value to add more goals to their tally from this point on.

Van Dijk intercepts as Bournemouth consider a quick break. He rolls a straight ball down the middle for Mane, who is in acres. Mane advances towards the box, draws Ramsdale, and slips the ball past the keeper and into the bottom right. Easy as that.

GOAAAAAAAALLLLLL!! SADIO MANE!!!

Oxlade-Chamberlain has a dig from 25 yards. It pinballs around the Bournemouth box before the visitors clear. Liverpool are beginning to dominate.

It's a lot better from the hosts. Salah's goal is a clear morale-booster.

Liverpool almost doubles their lead! Simpson made a mistake for the Liverpool equaliser, but he makes amends of sorts buy clearing a definite goalscoring opportunity from Alexander-Arnold's cross out for a corner, before Ake heads another cross away with Van Dijk lurking.

Sadio Mane robs substitute Jack Simpson deep in the visitors' half, but the Senegalese plays a poor ball to Salah. That doesn't matter to the Egytpian though, who takes a touch before firing past Ramsdale at the near post for his 70th league goal for the Reds. Liverpool back in this!

This is seriously bad news for the visitors, with Steve Cook appearing to have injured his hamstring during the Firmino chance. The Bournemouth captain is replaced by Jack Simpson.

Alexander-Arnold clips a ball over for Roberto Firmino, who stabs an effort straight at Bournemouth keeper Aaron Ramsdale, who makes his 100th Premier League save this season.... Klopp's men slowly waking up.

NEARLY A SECOND! Mane loses Ake and the centre-back gets to a cross ahead of Van Dijk. The header is on target and Adrian is needed to make an important save, helping the ball onto the crossbar. Liverpool are all over the place at the back!

Milner is forced to concede a corner out on the right. Fraser takes. Liverpool are fortunate that it’s straight at Adrian, who can tip over the bar. The second corner comes to nothing, but you can be sure most of the punters inside Anfield are currently thinking about Devon Loch.

This is absolutely bizarre from a Liverpool perspective. Callum Wilson appears to nudge Joe Gomez in the back, but VAR has not seen it as enough to give as a foul. Billing then feeds Lerma, who squares for a tap in for Wilson.

Salah and Firmino drift out to the right and exchange passes. It is eventually worked to Alexander-Arnold, who chips a good cross into the six-yard box. Steve Cook heads behind but the offside flag goes up, anyway.

Bright start from Liverpool, with Virgil Van Dijk seeking to pick out Mo Salah, but Aaron Ramsdale claims.
