HT: HUDDERSFIELD 0-1MANCHESTER CITY- The champions lead at the break thanks to a rather kind deflection on a Danilo long range effort. Nevertheless, they could have been further in front had they been awarded what seemed to be a clear penalty for a lunge on Sterling in the box. However in spite of all their dominance, City have been frusrated by their hosts, whom themselves will be encouraged by the narrow score line at the break.
  • 45'

  • 43'
Again the match has fallen into the pattern of City dominating the ball and Huddersfield guarding the perimeter of their penalty area. GOOOAAALLLL CITY!! 0-1! Full back Danilo takes aim from range, and rather fortuitously his shot is deflected past the Huddersfield stopper by one of his own defenders. City will feel like justice has been served after not being awarded a penalty earlier in the game, but nevertheless an unfortunate incident for the hosts. City lead!
  • 13'
PENALTY CLAIM CITY- De Bruyne plays Sterling into the channel and the Englishman races into the box before being bundled down by 'Terrriers' defender Kongolo, but the referee waves play on. Sterling can count himself unlucky there, as he appeared to receive a clear foul there.
