  • 94'
A late block from Trauco blocks Olivier Giroud's shot on goal. France have a corner in the final minute.
  • 91'
If Peru don't score in the next three minutes, their World Cup campaign is over. No pressure...
  • 90'
Four minutes of added time to be played. Can Peru find a late goal? On the current evidence, it doesn't look like it.
  • 89'
And there's the final sub of the game. Pogba makes way for Steven N'Zonzi.
  • 88'
The striker hits the target with his shot from 30 yards, but Lloris reads it well and catches.

  • 81'
Aquino is booked. The referee initially got him mixed up with Flores, but he gets it right in the end.
  • 80'
Another change for the French. Nabil Fekir is coming on to replace Griezmann.
  • 74'
Ousmane Dembele comes on to take Kylian Mbappe's place, and the PSG forward makes the slowest of journeys off the pitch, exchanging handshakes with as many teammates as possible.
  • 73'
Farfan hits the side-netting with an effort down the left.
  • 71'
Peru are playing nice football despite the score, and are clearly still keen to play out from the back instead of lumping it forward.
  • 68'
Advincula has a pop from just outside the box, but his effort fizzes over the bar.
  • 66'
Peru are doing what they can to probe for an equaliser, but France are defending well and look a threat on the counter. There's definitely another goal in this.
  • 56'
Peru half-heartedly shout for a penalty after Carrillo hits the deck in the box, but he made a meal out of it and no foul is given.
  • 51'
Umtiti, by the way, is back on the field and seems to have run the injury off.
  • 50'
Close! Aquino glances the outside of the post with a swerving strike from about 30 yards out. A great effort from the midfielder.
  • 49'
Umtiti doesn't need the stretcher, and walks to the sidelines with the medical staff.
  • 48'
Farfan immediately involved, as the forward gets involved in an aerial challenge with Umtiti. The defender fell awkwardly, taking a kick to the leg in mid-air, and the stretcher has been brought out.
  • 46'
Two changes for Peru after the break: Jefferson Farfan and Anderson Santamaria replacing Rodriguez and Yotun. France are unchanged.
  • 46'
    We're back underway!
  • 45'
HT: France 1 - 0 Peru - France are deserved leaders at half-time, one goal up thanks to Kylian Mbappe. Peru started well, but 'Les Bleus' grew into the game and were dominating by the end of the first half. If things stay this way, France will qualify for the round of 16, and Peru will be out.
  • 45'
Two minutes of added time to be played. France are very much dominating here.
  • 44'
And another opportunity for 'Les Bleus'. Lucas Hernandez has two bites of the cherry down the left, after some smooth attacking play from Deschamps' side. The first was blocked by the keeper, and the second bounced just wide of the post. Peru will be desperate for the half-time whistle.
  • 39'
Nearly a chance to make it two for France there, as Mbappe broke with pace down the right. He found Griezmann with a through-ball, who in turn tried to thread it to Giroud, but the keeper got there just ahead of the forward to collect.

GOAL! FRANCE! MBAPPE! The young gun follows up his near-miss with a goal, turning in a deflected attempt from Giroud. It was an easy tap-in from just yards out, after the Chelsea forward's shot/cross took a large bouncing deflection off Rodriguez and over the keeper. 1-0.
  • 33'
Close from Mbappe! The PSG forward gets on the end of a lovely ball from Pogba, attempting to backheel it in, but Gallese makes the stop.
  • 31'
Lloris makes a good stop to deny Guerrero, who was in far too much space in the French box.
  • 30'
Mbappe goes down in apparent agony, but replays show he probably caused himself the pain after a ridiculous dive. He doesn't fool the referee, and he seems to be okay. Quelle surprise.

  • 23'
Guerrero is shown a slightly unfair yellow card, after Umtiti went down like a sack of potatoes. The Peru striker made very light contact with Umtiti's face, but the card is likely for dissent.

The ball is fired in by Yotun, but Rodriguez concedes a foul in France's favour after shoving Umtiti in the box.
  • 19'

  • 14'
Close! Varane rises to get his head on a corner, and comes close to hitting the target with a glancing header.
  • 12'
Close again from France, as a decent long-range effort from Pogba bounces wide of the far post.
  • 10'
Griezmann fires one just wide of the post after finding his way into the box down the left.
  • 9'
France are slowly getting more of a grip on the game, and have returned fire with a couple of attacks in the Peru half. Still no clear superiority from either side yet, though.
  • 6'
A fairly even start to the game so far, with Peru having more of the ball in the first five minutes.
  • 3'
Carrillo appears to be in pain down the left wing, and is struggling to his feet. He was brought down while pushing forward, but he seems to be okay to carry on.

For Peru, it's good news, as their captain and all-time top goalscorer returns to the starting XI after coming on as a substitute against Denmark. He, along with Pedro Aquino, take the places of Jefferson Farfan and Renato Tapia.
  • PRVW
Bit of a head-scratcher from Didier Deschamps here...He's made two changes from the victory over Australia, replacing Corentin Tolisso and Ousmane Dembele for Blaise Matuidi and Olivier Giroud. Matuidi, who usually plays in a fairly defensive central midfield role for Juventus, is playing in an attacking role out on the left.
  • PRVW
And Peru's XI: Gallese, Rodriguez, Trauco, Ramos, Advincula, Cueva, Carrillo, Yotun, Flores, Aquino, Guerrero.
  • PRVW
Here's how France line up: Lloris, Pavard, Varane, Umtiti, Hernandez, Kante, Pogba, Mbappe, Griezmann, Matuidi, Giroud.
