The fixtures drawn today will be the last games played before the group stage proper gets underway and they will take place on August 15-16 and August 22-23.
In terms of British involvement both Liverpool and Celtic are eagerly awaiting their opponents.
Jurgen Klopp's side will be following the 'league route' meaning they qualified by league position despite not winning their domestic league and have been seeded for the draw, meaning that they will avoid fellow seeds Sevilla, Napoli, CSKA Moscow and Sporting Lisbon and will instead face one of Steaua Bucharest, Young Boys, Nice, Hoffenheim and Istanbul Basaksehir.
A game against Nice would see former 'Reds' striker Mario Balotelli return to Anfield whilst a game against Hoffenheim would see Liverpool's Roberto Firmino return to his former stomping ground.
Celtic reached this stage after defeating Rosenborg in their third-round qualifying tie. Brendan Rodgers' side beat the Norweigians 1-0 home and away to secure passage to the play-off for the group stage.
The Scottish champions are also seeded and will follow the 'champions route' after they won their domestic league by going unbeaten last season.
Other seeded clubs in Celtic's half of the draw include Olympiakos, FC Copenhagen, APOEL Nicosia and NK Maribor.
Brendan Rodgers' men will face one of Qarabag FK, Hapoel Beer-Sheva, Slavia Prague, Astana or NK Rieka.
The ten play-off winners will then join the other 22 sides who qualified automatically for the group stage proper, the draw for which will take place on Thursday August 24.
The ten losers will drop into the Europa League.
