Lewandowski returns to training on 37th birthday as Barcelona prepare for Levante

The Polish striker had been sidelined with discomfort in the biceps femoris of his left leg, forcing him to miss last weekend's 3-0 win away at Mallorca. His return suggests he is in the final stages of recovery and could soon be available for selection.

Lewandowski was greeted in customary fashion by his teammates, who formed a celebratory tunnel for the veteran forward before the session began.

The morning also offered coach Hansi Flick the rare boost of having his entire squad available, just two days before Saturday's trip to newly-promoted Levante at the Ciutat de Valencia.

Barcelona will hold their final training session on Friday, after which Flick is scheduled to address the media at midday, offering further clarity on Lewandowski's readiness ahead of the second matchday of La Liga.
