In the last few hours, the Barcelona board have made another offer for Robert Lewandowski. According to 'Bild', the Catalan side offered 40 million euros plus another five in add-ons, but Bayern Munich once again turned down the offer.
As a result of this situation and in sign of protest, the Polish striker is analysing the possibility of going on strike and not going to Bayern's pre-season.
Lewy still has a contract at Bayern Munich until summer 2023, but his desire is clear: he wants to leave the club this summer and sign for Barca. However, the Bavarian giants once again turned down the Catalan side's offer and the striker's situation was up in the air.
In Germany, they believe Lewandowski will miss the first few days of pre-season until the board make a decision on his future and accepts Barcelona's offer. However, the decision has yet to be made.
The Bayern board are trying to get 50 million euros net to complete the signing of the Pole, but the Catalan side still cannot get close to that figure. It remain to be seen what happens in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the story continues.
Last Wednesday, Lewandowski had a meeting with Barca coach Xavi Hernandez in a bar in Ibiza in which friends and family were also present. It looks like he will go to Barcelona, but no official deal has been struck.
