Leonardo return could spell Neymar exit at PSG
Neymar is going through some tough times at the moment, and after a season plagued with injury problems and off field incidents, the forward will now miss the Copa America due to an ankle injury suffered in a friendly against Qatar. However, his biggest worry at the moment will no doubt be the ongoing rape investigation after he was reported by model Najila Trindade for an alleged incident in a Paris hotel last month.
Both parties have now given their statements, but the case may drag on for some time yet. In fact, 'Record TV' have leaked messages that Najila reportedly sent to her first lawyer: "He hit me and raped me, he was drunk and high, he says so in his messages. He's a drug addict, violent and needs to be in jail".
In strictly sporting terms, the Brazilian star's future is in doubt once again, with Neymar in the spotlight for yet another summer. PSG are about to make their first change of the summer, and it's reportedly one that won't go down well with Neymar as Leonardo is set to be appointed as sporting director.
The former midfielder's arrival would spell the end for current sporting director Antero Henrique, who was key in Neymar's 222 million euro move to the French capital in 2017.
It is believed that Neymar would not be happy with this change and would see it as a show of disrespect against him as he shares a close relationship with Henrique.
PSG, at the moment anyway, have no intention of selling the 27 year-old, but that could all change if Neymar and his entourage opt to force through a move. He has been constantly linked with a move back to La Liga to either Real Madrid or Barcelona, with some reports even suggesting that he is already looking to engineer a move back to the Camp Nou.
