Leo scores again: 16 consecutive seasons scoring in Champions League

Leo Messi was tasked with scoring Barcelona's first Champions League goal of the season against Ferencvaros. After a good passage of play, Kovacevic fouled him in the box and Messi himself was tasked with making it 1-0. That's now 16 successive seasons in the Champions League he has scored in.

Messi again. Messi like always. It was Messi who scored Barcelona's first Champions League goal of the season. He did so against a Ferencvaros who went in front thanks to a goal from Nguen that was ruled out for offside.

The Barca captain won it and scored it. He mounted a great move in which he went from the sideline to the inside of the area and Kovacevic could not avoid pulling him down as soon as he entered the box. A clear foul.

When it came to hitting the penalty, the Argentine opted for a low shot that caught the keeper unawares. He couldn't do anything to avoid the ball hitting the net and it allowed Koeman to breathe. His side's start was erased.

With this goal, Messi also manages to score in the Champions League for the 16th season in a row. This is a figure that shows how key Leo is and has been throughout the recent and current history of Barcelona.
