Leny Yoro: ‘No time for celebration when you’re not winning’

Nineteen-year-old defender Leny Yoro scored his first goal for Manchester United in Thursday's Europa League quarter-final first leg against Lyon, reacting sharply to head Ugarte's cross past Lucas Perri. Despite this Yoro opted for a low-key celebration, prioritising the team result over individual glory.
"Of course, I didn’t enjoy it too much, not much celebration, because it is normal (when you are not winning the game). We want to win and there is no time for celebration," said Yoro to TNT Sports after the match
His comments reflect a mature mentality that prioritises collective success over personal milestones. A 2-2 draw for the Red Devils at the Groupama Stadium left the tie very evenly poised ahead of next week's second leg at Old Trafford.
Despite the disappointment, Yoro remains optimistic about United's chances in the second leg. The Red Devils fans will be hoping for a strong response at Old Trafford as their side look to secure a place in the Europa League semi-finals.
