Leicester v Man. Utd - as it happened
Well, thanks for joining me for this Premier League season. See you in about 10 days for some European action.
FT: Leicester 0-2 Manchester United. A Fernandes penalty and Schmeichel mistake seal United's place back in the Champions League.
What a way to finish the league. Schmeichel tries to take it round Lingard, he loses it and Lingard only needs to tap it in the net.
United sub: Ighalo on for Martial.
United sub: McTominay off for Fosu-Mensah.
Evans is sent off for a horrific challenge on McTominay. No place for challenges like that. A deserved red card. Luckily McTominay is up.
City have won 5-0 and Liverpool are up 3-1.
And it's a foul against Leicester...
Williams is booked for a foul on Gray at the edge of the box. Schmeichel is up, they need a goal now.
A reminder that the hosts need two goals to make the Champions League.
5 minutes added time.
Pogba is booked for time-wasting.
West Ham have equalised against Villa.
Leicester sub: Hirst on for Thomas.
A crucial goal for Aston Villa. They will surely be staying up.
United sub: McTominay on for Fernandes.
City are now up 4-0, Southampton are up 3-1, and so are Bournemouth.
Gray's shot is deflected over the bar.
Matic was booked for trying to bring down Praet.
Gray has a shot from just inside the box that goes wide.
Manchester City are now winning 3-0.
75% possession for Leicester in the last 10 minutes. They want the next goal.
The ball comes in and Vardy heads over.
Morgan kicks fresh air in the box. Leicester would have wanted that to have fallen to Vardy.
United sub: Greenwood off for Lingard.
Watford are now 3-2 down, Liverpool are up 2-1, and so are Southampton.
Vardy has a shot from inside the box that is straight at De Gea.
Leicester sub: Choudhury off for Praet.
Leicester sub: Tielemans off for Barnes.
Leicester sub: Albrighton off for Gray.
So United and Chelsea are going to the Champions League as things stand. Leicester need two goals.
Bruno Fernandes steps up and puts it right in the corner. Schmeichel went the wrong way.
And Evans is booked for bringing down Martial in the box.
Lindelof is booked for a foul on Vardy. Both United CBs in the book now.
Tielemans doesn't hit his shot well and the very weak effort goes wide.
Tielemans puts in the free-kick and Vardy flicks on with the header, and it hits the bar!!!!
United haven't drawn an away Premier League match since 2018.
Leicester sub: Iheanacho off for Pérez.
Brighton are now 2-1 up away to Burnley.
No chances at all in this half.
It is absolutely pouring down just now.
Palace have now equalised, as well as Southampton. No Ings though.
Of course, Manchester United are back in action in just a couple of weeks for their second leg match against LASK.
Looks like Chelsea will be making the Champions League. They are winning 2-0. Burnley have levelled against Brighton.
Huge 40 minutes for both sides.
And we're back.
HT: Leicester 0-0 Manchester United. Hardly anything in it so far and the Foxes will go in at the break knowing they need to win to make the Champions League.
Bad news for Leicester fans. Chelsea have opened the scoring. Bournemouth are also 2-1 in front.
Rashford has a shot from inside the box that Schmeichel parries.
Another chance for United. Martial turns and his shot is deflected wide.
3 minutes added time.
Watford have pulled one back against Arsenal and Everton have equalised against Everton. City have scored again.
Rashford has a shot from the centre of the box that he puts well wide. He couldn't wrap his foot round it.
Van Dijk has equalised for Liverpool.
There isn't much that separates these sides at all.
Aubameyang has got his second goal. He is one goal behind Vardy.
There hasn't been a 0-0 draw between these sides since 1997.
Tielemans has a shot from the edge of the box that trickles inches wide. It was like a pass.
Pogba plays the ball over the top to Fernandes who takes a touch and scores, but he was miles offside.
So as things stand, Chelsea and United will be qualifying for the Champions League.
Arsenal are now 2-0 up, and Sheffield United are winning 1-0.
What a chance for Leicester. Iheanacho has a shot from the dee that is deflected and De Gea gets down and saves. He had two teammates he could have passed it to.
We still haven't had a shot on target yet. You get the feeling that shots on target will be at a premium.
Some goals to tell you about. Tottenham are beating Palace 1-0, Bournemouth are beating Everton 1-0, and Brighton are beating Burnley 1-0.
A very open game so far.
Albrighton slices a shot from a tight angle wide.
First real chance of the match. Ndidi has a drilled effort from the edge of the box that goes over the bar.
Manchester City have taken the lead at home to Norwich.
Half-chance for United. Rashford plays the ball long and Greenwood flicks on with his head from the centre of the box and it goes over.
Maguire gets the first booking of the match. He is booked for a foul on Iheanacho in the centre of the box.
Still no chances in this match but United are the better side.
And not that the match means much, but Newcastle are in front against Liverpool.
Arsenal have taken the lead through Aubameyang. He is now two goals behind Vardy and Watford are going down.
United have started the better side.
And I was right that both sides are up for the match.
And we're off.
Ayo_60602180 predicts that United will win 2-1. Looks like most of you think that the Red Devils will win and make the Champions League.
Both teams out.
United getting ready.
I predict both teams will come out right from the word go. They know how much this match means.
For United, the only player that remains is De Gea. Mata was a used substitute that day and Evans also played, who plays for Leicester City now.
Vardy did score the last time Leicester beat United. Schmeichel, Morgan, and Vardy were the only players playing today for the Foxes that were involved.
It's not just the final Champions League spot that is up for grabs, but also the Premier League Golden Boot. Vardy is two goals ahead of Ings, and three ahead of Aubameyang. Those are probably the two players most likely to catch him.
We have our first prediction of the day. Emmelux_8021 thinks that Manchester United will win easily. That is what all United fans will want but if it's 0-0 in the 89th minute then a Leicester goal would seem them miss out on the Champions League.
Leicester are pretty much guaranteed a 5th place finish as Wolves would need a 15 goal swing to finish above them.
History favours Manchester United as Leicester haven't beaten them since 2014.
Vardy will have to be in fine form if he wants to fire Leicester to the Champions League for only the second time in their history. United know that a draw will see them return to Europe's top table for the first time since 2018-19. Both teams could make it if Chelsea lose to Wolves. I will keep you up to date with everything happening all over the country.
Manchester United XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams; Pogba, Matic; Greenwood, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial.
Leicester XI: Schmeichel; Justin, Morgan, Evans; Albrighton, Choudhury, Ndidi, Thomas; Tielemans; Iheanacho, Vardy.
Hello and welcome to the King Power Stadium for this crucial match between Leicester and Manchester United. Leicester have to win to guarantee a Champions League spot, while United only need a draw. Team news to come.
