The coronavirus has taken a new victim in the world of football. Norman Hunter has died at the age of 76.
Hunter was hospitalised for several weeks after contracting the virus.
The ex-defender played 540 matches for Leeds, playing the 4th most amount of matches for them in their history. He also won 28 caps for England, playing when they won the World Cup in 1966.
He also played for Bristol City and Barnsley before retiring and managing Leeds.
"Leeds United are devastated to learn of the passing of club icon Norman Hunter at the age of 76", the club expressed on their website.
