League Two Wrexham dreaming of ex-Madrid star

Seeing Gareth Bale donning the boots once more is something few people are imagining. However, co-Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney wants to see it every game next season.

The Welsh club, who have just gone up to League Two with a whole host of records, want to get the Welshman on board. McElhenney, who manages the side with actor Ryan Reynolds, has reached out to the star.

"Hey Gareth Bale, let’s play golf, where I totally won’t spend 4 hours trying to convince you to un-retire for one last magical season", he wrote on social media. 

The ex-Real Madrid man wanted to follow the buzz and he answered with: "Depends what (golf) course". After that, speculations over the Welshman's career started.

Bale announced after the Qatar World Cup that he was going ot hang up his boots. For now, golf is the sport which has taken up all hours of the ex-footballer's time.
