Thomas Tuchel will be the PSG coach next season. And it will not because of the board as they were looking at bringing in Allegri, but because of the players, especially Kylian Mbappe.
According to information from 'Le Parisien', the striker asked the board for the German to continue, Mbappe has a brilliant relationship with Tuchel despite their run ins last term.
Apparently, Mbappe thought it would be "inappropiate" to have three coaches in just four years after the Laurent Blanc and the new Villarreal coach Unai Emery.
Tuchel has found he has the backing of the dressing room and a Kylian Mbappe who also confirmed that he will stay at PSG at least for next season. What happens after that is anyone's guess. Real Madrid are one of the teams interested in him.
This could not have been imagined back in February when Mbappe had a go at Tuchel for taking him off against Montpellier and he refused to look at the boss when he went to the bench.
That day there was tension in the dressing room, but a meeting with Leonardo later on calmed everything down. Mbappe wanted to be a star for the club and the coach and that is the status he has at the Parisian club.
Now it is Mbappe who has helped Thomas Tuchel stay in a job ahead of PSG's two cup finals. They are against Saint Etienne in the French Cup and Lyon in the French League Cup prior to the Champions League quarter-final with Atalanta.
