“People have no memory”

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas, at a press conference on Wednesday, praised Real Madrid's season and recalled that the 'Merengue' team competes despite all the problems they have had in the form of injuries, while regretting that “people” have no memory of this situation.
"We have been talking (Ancelotti and him). They have also had problems. They are different goals. He is a man with a lot of wisdom and he values what Getafe does and more so with the problems we have had since the beginning of the championship. Madrid have also had problems with injuries. The centre-backs, Carvajal... and people don't talk about that, they have no memory. That, obviously, has taken its toll".
The Spanish coach assured that his team is not yet assured of safety and affirmed that they will have to work hard until the end of the season to prevent relegation. "We have to be optimistic, but, until it is mathematical, in football, nothing has been achieved. There are many teams that have gone many days without a win. We cannot be confident. In my second spell when I arrived, we had to get a lot of points to be saved. And we got them. And nobody thought we could do it," he said.
In addition, he stated that Getafe, at the very least, “deserved” to draw against Real Madrid and pointed out that his team's performance “was good”. "The team has given its all. We have been affected by the number of minutes, players who have played almost everything. Milla and Mauro have played almost the whole year. They are paying for it and we lacked freshness at the end to turn it around or at least tie," he added.
