Liverpool take all three points in the last minute. After a game in which the visitors defended very well, the home side secured victory thanks to Carvalho's last-gasp winner.
The first half was hard fought. Newcastle defended very well during the first 45 minutes and managed to stop Liverpool's attack which at times was non-stop. The Reds had a few chances but failed to score.
Luis Diaz almost scored the first goal for the home side in the 33rd minute. Firmino delivered an incredible pass and found the Colombian inside the box, who received the ball, dribbled past Pope but his shot went narrowly over.
Just four minutes later, the Magpies surprised Klopp's team by taking the lead. Almiron received the ball on the right flank and passed to Longstaff, who found Isak inside the box. The Swede's shot across the face of goal beat Alisson to score the first goal of the game and his first Premier League goal on his debut.
However, Liverpool did not throw in the towel and managed to level the match thanks to Firmino's goal. Salah received the ball with space, and once inside the box, he found Firmino. The Brazilian scored the equaliser with a shot to the long post beating Pope.
When it looked like the game was going to end in a draw, Carvalho saved the Anfield side. Tsimikas crossed the ball from the corner and, after several rebounds inside the box, the Portuguese midfielder smashed the ball into the net in the 97th minute to give his team the victory.
