Dembele is Ernesto Valverde's biggest problem right now. The attitude of the French international continues to frustrate the 'Blaugrana' outfit, who will no longer consent to the winger's 'games'. According to 'Sport', if Barcelona do not see a drastic change in Dembele, he will be sold.
There's no doubt about his footballing potential. Despite the fans' constant disapproval, the coaches know the player's quality on the field. For Dembele to become a top talent, he needs time and he needs to adapt. Despite joining Barcelona over a year ago, the 21-year-old is yet to fully integrate in the changing room and has made little progress with the language.
Valverde has shown his confidence in Dembele by giving him time on the field, though the player's performances are yet to earn him a place in the starting lineup. Instead, Arthur Melo has come into the team, alongside a change in system, and Dembele is now forced to starting from the bench.
The final straw was Dembele's absence from a training session, communicated an hour and a half later to the club. The youngster was left out of the team against Real Betis - a punishment that could continue if he does not show a greater maturity.
