Numbers are still been run at Camp Nou. Barcelona's board plans to reduce enough salary costs to obtain certain economic stability.
Barça's number one goal is to reduce their debt as much as they possibly can, as they want to make big signings for the 2022-23 season.
'Mundo Deprtivo' claims that there are three names Barça is already considering for next summer. Dani Olmo, Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba.
This summer, Barcelona already wanted Dani Olmo, and they haven't lost interest. The Catalonians understand that they won't be able to sign him in January, but will definitely try again in summer 2022.
'Mundo Deportivo' highlights that from the three players mentioned, Olmo is the one that interests them the most.
Erling Haaland is every big club dream signing and it is also Joan Laporta's. His signing seems more difficult, not because of his tag price (only 90 million euros next summer) but because every big team will try to sign the Norgueian striker.
In addition to his tag price, which could easily end up surpassing the 100 million millestone, Haaland's salary will another significant cost. On top of that, Mino Raiola, his agent, and Haaland's father would both take commissions.
Last but not least, Paul Pogba. United's midfielder will be a free agent this summer and Barcelona, like many other clubs, is monitoring his situation in case he won't sign a new deal with the 'Red Devils'. 'Mundo Deportivo' claims that is one of Laporta's desires, however, his salary is quite high and Barcelona will not make unnecessary economic efforts.
Barcelona is focussed in creating a top team again. Dani Olmo, Pogba and Haaland are in Barça's desire list, but Laporta dreams with a team that could welcome many more before the season is over.
