Laporta confirmed they will renew Balde and register Gavi and Araujo

Barcelona president Joan Laporta was convinced that they wil be able to register midfielder the new contracts of Pablo Paez Gavira 'Gavi' and central defender Ronald Araujo at the end of the season. Laporta also wants to renew full-back Alejandro Balde, but that has yet to be completed.
"It is expected that, at the end of the season, we will register Araujo and Gavi and renew Balde," Laporta told 'El mon' on radio station 'RAC1' just after arriving in Barcelona from Riyadh. That is where the Catalans beat Real Madrid 1-3 in the Spanish Super Cup final.
Gavi, who scored and provided two assists, was named man of the match in the final: "He turned 18 in autumn and we took the opportunity which the laws gave us to continue with him as a B team player. When this season ends, we'll have to register him because he's a first team player," Laporta said.
Araujo's new contract is not registered with La Liga either. Like Gavi, he has renewed until 2026 and Barca also want to extend Balde's contract, which expires in 2024, as well as register him as a first team player.
Laporta, who said that "Balde's renewal is looking good," admitted that the club are having problems sticking to the salary cap imposed by La Liga to make sure La Liga and Segunda clubs remain financially sustainable.
