This Monday was a very bad day for Derby County, who final at the final hurdle in their bid to gain promotion to the Premier League after losing 2-1 at Wembley against Aston Villa.
Frank Lampard's men were very close to getting promoted, but they will probably be up there again next season, but possibly without the Englishman as the manager.
The Chelsea legend did not clear up the uncertainity over his future after the game. He admitted that he will have a meeting with the club this week to analyse the situation.
"I'm not interested in rumours, they are not appropiate. What is clear is that I will meet with Mel Morris, the owner, in the coming days to evaluate the future," Lampard commented.
"This season has been brilliant, we will see how it goes. I have two more years on my contract and I love working here," concluded a Lampard who many say will be the Chelsea manager next season.
