The maximum occupancy rate in open sports stadiums will be 40% and 30% in closed venues during August, according to the agreement reached in the Interterritorial Health Council between the Ministry of Health and the Autonomous Communities.
This is a "framework agreement" of minimums for the whole territory and will be in force from the 13th of this month, when the League begins, until the 29th, when the central and regional governments will meet again to assess whether these percentages should be modified, announced the Health Minister, Carolina Darias.
According to the minister, the maximum capacity for outdoor events will be 40%, which includes the start of the LaLiga and Second Division, while indoors it will be 30%.
Moreover, these figures will be reviewed at a later date, according to the agreement, which also stipulates that at sporting events those attending will not be allowed to eat or drink, except for water, or smoke tobacco or its derivatives.
Fans are also required to enter in a staggered manner and always wear a mask, keeping a safety distance of 1.5 metres at all times.
