Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-2 on matchday 10 of the Premier League, but the first of their goals, which came in the second minute, could have been illegal. The thing is that they were unable to check it because no camera had Saka in shot at the time of the pass.
'ESPN' and 'Liverpool Echo' report that none of the five cameras calibrated for VAR had Bukayo Saka out of shot.
He received the ball from Ben White, who could have been offside when he received the pass. The thing is that, he was only visible in the wide angled tactical camera and that camera is not calibrated for VAR.
The VAR was unable to be sure that Saka was offside with the naked eye from the tactical camera and the goal was allowed to stand.
