Arsenal are doing their best to get Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to renew his contract. He has reportedly verbally agreed to stay until 2024.
But there is still nothing official and until then, the Gunners will err on the side of caution in the summer transfer window. They are looking to sell Alexandre Lacazette to another club.
That said, according to 'Daily Star', for Lacazette to leave Arsenal, the English side must first renew Aubameyang, since they do not want to run the risk of being without their two main scorers.
Atletico Madrid are awaiting the 29 year-old French forward with open arms, but they know they cannot get Lacazette until Aubameyang pens a new deal in North London.
The cited source says that the former Lyon man would join Atletico for around 30 million pounds.
