For the coach, currently without a team, the possible arrival of the Frenchman to the team would mean fresh air for the striker and would complement a Luis Suarez who, he believes, has "lost physical condition".
"Lacazette can be a player like him (Luis Suarez). He can go down to the center of the field to play and ask for the ball. I think he would play very well in Barcelona," he began explaining before talking about Suarez.
Puel considers that the Uruguayan forward has lowered his performance because of age: "In a team that does not serve too many balls he is struggling because he has lost the speed to be able to make the difference individually. He knows how to stand out, go deep, ask for the ball... but he needs something else".
"Barça does not have players with attributes to retreat and to yield the ball. With Guardiola, Barça played almot the whole match in the opposite field and now they accept to play in low block. That way, you need a forward to hold the ball and Suarez usually loses it," he added.
