Reports in spain claim that the youngster's current employers have increased his release clause from £7m up to £22m as they look to guard themselves against losing the young star for relative 'pennies'.
The 17-year-old has become one of the most coveted young talents in Spain in recent times, following a number of impressive performances for Valencia Mestalla in the Segunda Division B.
Torres is also a regular in the Spain U17 side, having made 15 appearances for them since his debut last year.
The youngster is under contract at the Mestalla until 2019, but a host of European giants have been keeping an eye on him, with a view to invoking his release clause before that date.
It was reported last year that PSG and Juventus had sent scouts to watch the player in action but both of those clubs, along with Real and Barca may be set for disappointment.
Spanish news outlet 'Super Deporte' reports that Valencia have move to increase the player's release clause by some £15m, meaning that any team wishing to take a punt on the youngster would need to pay £22m for the privilege.
Despite a number of positive scout reports, none of the interested parties are willing to fork out such an amount for a novice and as such the player looks set to stay put for now.
