Not even Conte's possible arrival will change Mauro Icardi's destiny. The argetine player has one foot out the door already, according to the previously mentioned outlets.
As stated by "La Gazetta", Atletico Madrid are interested in buying the player, and they allegedly would have already moved in to have Icardi starting next season.
The source insists that the Spanish team is prepared to make the offer: 70 million euros to Inter for their star striker.
Atletico is looking to strenghten their offensive side, as there is a lot of conversation regarding their top strikers. Griezmann has already confrimed that he'd like to stay with the "rojiblancos", but Barcelona have been following his footsteps for long now, and some already see him playing in the Camp Nou next season. Aditionally, Diego Costa's future, as "AS" published last Monday, is not guaranteed. his expulsion from the Camp Nou agaisnt Barcelona is being voiced as the last straw, and Atletico could be hearing offers for him. The free spot for a star striker would therefore need to be filled.
In Italy, Icardi is already said to be Simeone's "chosen one", but Inter is not prepared to see him leave without first seeing their coffers full: according to the italian press, the minimum would be 70 million euros for him.
