The pitch altercation between Thomas Tuchel and Kylian Mbappé is still making waves. Now, sources claim a meeting between the coach and the PSG squad took place, in order to discuss the events against Montpellier. According to the sources at L'Équipe, Kylian Mbappé refused to apologise for what happened.
Neither to the coach nor to his team-mates. However, he did reportedly admit that his reaction was excessive and that he would never have done so with the intention of disrespecting Cavani and Icardi, who were the ones to replace him and Sarabia respectively.
In fact, the player's reaction on social media surprised many, as he seemed to be downplaying the whole altercation by making fun it instead of taking it seriously.
Tuchel has been trying to downplay the incident as well, but Mbappé's high profile has inevitably backfired, which is why he had to address the issue himself during the press conference ahead of PSG's clash with Nantes.
Meanwhile, Mbappé has been hit with a lot of criticism for his attitude. Moreover, it is worth remembering that any matter that has to do with his state of happiness or unhappiness at the Parc des Princes is acknowledged by Real Madrid, who are following him closely with the intention of bringing him to the Spanish capital one day.
