Napoli worked this Wednesday six days before the match against Barca in the Champions League with Kalidou Koulibaly still absent. The central defender, the defensive leader for Gattuso's men, continues to work his socks off with the intention of being fit in time for the match against Barcelona.
The Senegalese internatonal is finishing off his recovery from a right thigh injury which he suffered in the middle of December. This Wednesday, he did gym work. The Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik and the Albanian full back Elseif Hysaj did train with the rest of the squad, Napoli said in an official statement.
Koulibaly got injured in the loss to Parma on 14th December and after a month and a half out, he returned to action on 9th February versus Lecce. After that, he did not play against Inter in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg nor in the league trip to Cagliari.
Napoli travel to Brescia this Friday in Serie A, in their last fixture prior to Tuesday's match with Barcelona. Gattuso will try and get Koulibaly back for that game.
Milik and Hysaj will almost certainly be fit for the Barca match as will Fernando Llorente despite the Spaniard not training this Wednesday because of flu.
