Kondogbia is about to change teams. Atlético await him. The player is already in Madrid, ready to sign for the club.
Kondogbia wasn't at Valencia training on Monday. Manager Javi Gracia confirmed on Sunday that president Anil Murthy told him on Friday this possibility despite his assurance a fortnight ago that it was impossible for Kondogbia to leave the team.
After Sunday's agonising draw against Getafe, the players who were in the starting line-up have been working out in the gym while those who were not have been working out more intensively, although without Kondogbia among them.
As well as the midfielder, the injured Mouctar Diakhaby and Vicente Esquerdo weren't there either, who were out of the last match due to physical problems.
Valencia are scheduled to rest on Tuesday and resume work on Wednesday to start to prepare for Sunday's league match at the Mestalla against Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Kondogbia remains totally out of the picture. He only hopes that the deal is done as soon as possible to now join Simeone's orders.
